Every time my Grandmother called me to meet up with her this clock played an important role. I was living in the group home in BK at the time and she was living in Yonkers. She knew I had nothing and no one to help me so she made sure I had everything I needed. Meeting up meant we needed the perfect and safest place: the clock in Grand Central Terminal. She would get on the MetroNorth from Yonkers headed down to the city, and I’d take the bus across Church Avenue to get the 4 train into Manhattan. There we would meet and she’d always have new clothes and undergarments, something to eat, and money. And I’d always tell her I’ll come to Yonkers to see her and spend the weekend. I did as often as I could. Then some time passed and I was moved to a closer group home in midtown Manhattan. That clock will always hold dear to me.

Ok so I don’t care what you think about these dna testing sites, I had every reason to do a test. I did it with hope that my brother and I would receive information on our mom who passed in ‘89, and her family. We never met her or her mom who is off the radar. We became fortunate years prior to have met two of her sisters during our search. It wasn’t until @ancestry came about that I mustered up the courage to do this test and patiently await the results. Yesterday I got an email that changed my life. Someone found me. The rest of this story will unfold in time.. #staytuned
